General Questions

All employed persons in the field of education in Jamaica.

After selecting from the suite of options available to you, you will complete our membership application form and make arrangements for salary deduction to begin the following month. You have the option of making a first payment immediately, to quickly activate your selected plan(s).

If a member reaches retirement while contributing to the TIP Basic Plan, the TIP SuperClub or the TIP for Life options, they have the option of signing up for continued coverage on the TIP Gold Club, where members will enjoy similar coverage at lower premiums. Members may remain insured on the TIP Gold Club until age 70. Members also have the option of continuing membership by saving with TIP on any of TIP’s savings plans, including the TIP Money Multiplier, which incudes a small portion of insurance.

Completion of the TIP Membership Application Form, Valid Government-Issued ID and TRN Card/Document.

Loans

This is the preferred mode of payment, as it ensures consistency, security and timely payment of premiums and loan obligations.

After six consecutive monthly payments, a member can access the Society’s loan facilities, with the exception of the TIP Auto Loan which can be accessed once the first month’s premium payment is received.

Insurance

This should be reported to the Society in writing, within 30 working days, and all claim documents should be submitted within 90 days.
